“svecchayā svabhittau viśvam unmīlayati”

Through Her longing, She unfolds the universe within Herself.

It is the creative impulse that arises when we live and act from inner alignment — when practice becomes not a performance, but an expression of truth.

The Svecchā approach honours the roots of yoga while celebrating individuality and lived experience.

Each training invites you to explore yoga as both an embodied discipline and a living art — a path of freedom, integrity, and connection.

Svecchā means “one’s own free will.”

The Path of Training

Embodied Heart Immersion

A deep personal immersion into practice and the teachings of the Brahmavihāras, designed to strengthen your foundation and connection to yoga as a way of life.

The Svecchā pathway unfolds through two complementary journeys:

Svecchā Foundation Teacher Training

A professional training for those ready to teach from embodied understanding, develop their authentic voice, and share yoga with skill and soul.

Each training can be taken on its own, or as part of a continuous journey — from personal practice to professional qualification.

Personal Development & Deepening Practice

The Embodied Heart Immersion is a 40-hour experiential journey into the wisdom of the heart — weaving āsana, mantra, mudrā, prāṇāyāma, and meditation through the lens of the Brahmavihāras.

This immersion offers a sacred space to pause, reflect, and reconnect. It is a deep personal immersion that also serves as powerful preparation for the 240-hour Svecchā Foundation Teacher Training.

Pre-Qualifications

You do not need to have completed the Embodied Heart Immersion to apply, but it is highly recommended.

If you haven’t attended the immersion, you should have been practising yoga regularly (at least two classes per week) for a minimum of two years, or demonstrate equivalent experience through a consistent personal practice.

This training is also a wonderful option for qualified teachers who have previously trained in a more āsana-focused or fitness-based school and wish to deepen their understanding of yoga philosophy, tradition, and embodiment.

You don’t need to be able to “do” complex postures — what matters most is curiosity, commitment, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

What You’ll Take Away

  • Confidence and clarity in your teaching voice

  • A deepened personal practice grounded in sādhana

  • The ability to teach yoga that is authentic, intelligent, and heart-led
